Most people choose this route because you have the option of of spending an extra acclimatisation day on the mountain, which increases your chances of reaching the summit. By choosing the Marangu Route you also get to sleep in huts along the entire route instead of camping. All your equipment and supplies are carried by porters and a cook prepares your meals.
